Meet the Creatures of Storyteller
Set in the fantastical True World, the Storyteller series has a wide array of magical creatures, both enchanted and not. I thought I’d take the opportunity today to tell you a bit about the inhabitants of the True World. On Lily’s journey, she encounters all of these and more.

The Elves
Four elf brothers were the joint rulers of the True World until the jealousy of one, Lord Kane, destroyed their entire way of life. One brother dead and two others cursed, Lord Kane seeks power for himself alone by unleashing the Formorians.

The Fairies
Once the gentlest of races, the fairies of the True World are nearly extinct, wiped out by Lord Kane’s Formorian armies. Now endangered, Lily represents the last of fairy kind and she’s the key to fulfilling an ancient prophecy to restore the True World.

The Pixies
Some of the smallest inhabitants of the True World, the pixies care not for political matters. They only wish for healthy forests and seek safety underground when the Formorians attack. Small, but feisty, pixies should never be underestimated.

The Formorians
Mysterious creatures from another realm, Formorians can inhabit the bodies of any living being for a while. The poor hosts eventually wither and die after a Formorian possession. They can possess elves, trolls, and beasts alike and are not choosy. A Formorian must always be on the lookout for its next host.

The Trolls
A large, smelly, misunderstood race, the trolls only seek to be left alone. Loved by no one, most are happy to avoid them. If one looks a little deeper though, one might find the most loyal friend one could ever have.

The Portal Keepers
Four mythological creatures come to life – a dragon, a chimera, a harpy, and a griffin – bound to protect the four entrances to the True World. Some are benevolent in their duties, others malevolent, but all are fierce in their protection of their powers. Ironblood the dragon, Northern Portal keeper of DuraDor, holds the power of strength. Idylwyld the chimera, Western Portal Keeper of Haradah, holds the power of life and death. Ashtaroth the harpy, Southern Portal Keeper of Terah Tahan, holds the power of the seasons. Rahel the Griffin, Eastern Portal Keeper of Perga Peor, holds the power of wisdom and courage.
