1. What inspired your latest book or book series?
I love cruising with my hubby, it’s just so romantic, but I’ve also been on a few vacations with just ‘the girls.’ The mix of anything goes, plus the Caribbean sunshine, pina coladas, and the beat of the steel drums, seemed a perfect fit for a story about a recently divorced woman who has sworn off men and finds herself in the arms and bed of the celebrity guest on board.
2. Who is your favorite book character of all time?
Diana Gabaldon’s Jamie Fraser, of the Outlander Series.
3. What lessons has writing taught you about life in general?
Probably patience, not that I’m good at it, but the road to getting each and every book published requires patience. I’d just like to write it and voila, but all the editing (not just by me, but then by my editors who are so wonderful) is a slow process from book idea to print. I’ve learned to be patient(sort of).
4. What’s your favorite quote? “Don’t complain how the ball drops if you’re the one that dropped it.”
5. Who would you most like to have a cup of coffee with? (Dead or alive) Catherine the Great.
6. What is your biggest pet peeve?
People who talk on their cell phones constantly, drives me crazy, especially during dinner, etc.
7. Tell us something quirky about you.
Just one thing? I love to swim but I don’t like to put my head under the water.
8. Favorite comfort food? Anything pasta.
9. Star Wars or Star Trek? Star Wars.
10. What song do you sing in the shower the most?
Landslide by Fleetwood Mac.
